Online Hypnotherapy for Anxiety

If your mind and body feel constantly on alert, even when nothing is obviously wrong, you're not alone, and you don't have to keep managing it by yourself.

As a Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapist, I offer online sessions in English and Polish to support people who live with anxiety.

What anxiety can feel like

Anxiety looks different for everyone. You might recognise some of these:

  • A constant sense of tension that never fully goes away

  • Racing thoughts and endless "what if" scenarios

  • A body that stays on alert: a tight chest, restlessness, difficulty relaxing

  • Avoiding situations because of how you might feel

  • Feeling tired from always being "on"

  • Finding it hard to switch off at night

Recognising yourself in some of this doesn't mean something is wrong with you. Often it means your mind and body have learned to stay on guard.

How Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can support you

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) combines CBT-based techniques with hypnotherapy. In our sessions, we:

  1. Explore your experience. We look at how your thoughts, emotions, body and behaviour affect each other, sometimes called the anxiety cycle.

  2. Use hypnosis. In a calm, focused state, we work with the automatic reactions and patterns behind anxious responses.

  3. Build practical tools. These are things you can use in daily life, such as ways to slow down, look at worries differently and settle your body.

  4. Create a personalised plan. We review your progress together, at your pace.

I can't promise a particular result, because everyone responds differently. What I can offer is a calm, structured space and tools to work with.

What working together
looks like

We start with a free discovery call, where we talk about what's been happening and whether working together feels right. Sessions then take place online by private video call, usually weekly at the start. Where it helps, you'll be invited to practise simple exercises between sessions.

Is hypnotherapy right for anxiety?

Hypnotherapy works alongside medical care, not instead of it. If you haven't spoken to your GP about your anxiety, especially if it's severe or affecting your daily life, it's a good idea to do so.

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. In an emergency, call 999.

Online sessions in English and Polish

I work in both English and Polish, so you can talk about what you're feeling in the language that feels most natural. All sessions are online, so you can join from a quiet room at home.

Questions about hypnotherapy for anxiety

Can hypnotherapy help with anxiety?

Many people find hypnosis deeply relaxing, and CBH adds practical tools to that relaxation. I can't promise a specific outcome, because everyone responds differently, but the discovery call is a good chance to talk about what you'd like from sessions and whether this approach feels right for you.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working with and what you'd like to change, so there isn't one number that fits everyone. We review progress together as we go, and nothing is rushed.

Do I need to see my GP first?

You don't need a referral to book a session.

I'd encourage you to speak to your GP if you haven't already, especially if your anxiety is severe, has come on suddenly or is affecting your daily life.

Will I be in control during hypnosis?

Yes. You stay aware of what's happening throughout, and you can stop at any time.
