Online Hypnotherapy for Overthinking

Your mind keeps going long after the moment has passed. You replay conversations, analyse decisions and search for certainty, but end up feeling stuck and tired. If that's you, you're far from alone. I offer online Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy sessions in English and Polish to support people whose minds rarely switch off.

What overthinking can
feel like

Overthinking looks different for everyone. You might recognise some of these:

  • Replaying conversations and imagining what you should have said

  • Analysing decisions from every angle without feeling sure

  • Running through endless “what if” scenarios

  • Needing certainty before you can relax

  • Struggling to switch off, especially at night

  • Feeling mentally tired, but unable to stop

Overthinking often comes from wanting to get things right or to feel safe. Your mind is trying to help, but it can end up going in circles.

How Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can support you

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) combines CBT-based techniques with hypnotherapy. In our sessions, we:

  1. Notice your patterns. We look at what triggers the loop, and how your thoughts, feelings and behaviour keep it going.

  2. Use hypnosis to slow down. In a calm, focused state, we work with the automatic habit of going over things again and again.

  3. Practise a new relationship with your thoughts. You learn tools for stepping back, setting worries down and returning to the present.

  4. Make it your own. We create a personalised plan and review it together.

I can't promise a particular result, because everyone responds differently. What I can offer is a calm, structured space and tools to work with.

What working together
looks like

We start with a free discovery call, where we talk about what's been happening and whether working together feels right. Sessions then take place online by private video call, usually weekly at the start. Where it helps, you'll be invited to practise simple exercises between sessions.

Is hypnotherapy right for overthinking?

Hypnotherapy works alongside medical care, not instead of it. If your thoughts feel intrusive, distressing or hard to control, or if you're feeling very low, please speak to your GP.

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. In an emergency, call 999.

Online sessions in English and Polish

I work in both English and Polish, so you can talk about what you're feeling in the language that feels most natural. All sessions are online, so you can join from a quiet room at home.

Questions about hypnotherapy for overthinking

Is overthinking the same as anxiety?

They often overlap, but they're not the same. Overthinking is a pattern of thinking, while anxiety is a broader experience that can include physical feelings. We can look at both in sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working with and what you'd like to change, so there isn't one number that fits everyone. We review progress together as we go, and nothing is rushed.

Can hypnotherapy help me switch off?

Hypnosis is a calm, focused state that many people find relaxing, and CBH gives you tools to practise. I can't promise a specific outcome, because everyone responds differently.

Do I have to stop thinking?

No. The aim isn't to empty your mind, but to change how you relate to your thoughts.
