Online Hypnotherapy for Perfectionism

High standards can be a strength.

But when good enough never feels enough, and you're always pushing for more, perfectionism can leave you tired, tense and self-critical.

I offer online Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy sessions in English and Polish to support people who want to loosen perfectionism's grip.

What perfectionism can
feel like

Perfectionism looks different for everyone. You might recognise some of these:

  • A constant pressure to get everything right

  • Difficulty finishing things, or putting them off until they feel perfect

  • Harsh self-criticism after small mistakes

  • Finding it hard to feel satisfied, even when things go well

  • Fear of disappointing others or being judged

  • Feeling exhausted from holding yourself to such high standards

Perfectionism often begins as a way of feeling safe or worthy. It can be a strength in some ways, and a weight in others.

How Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can support you

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) combines CBT-based techniques with hypnotherapy. In our sessions, we:

  1. Understand what drives it. We explore where the pressure comes from and what it's protecting you from.

  2. Use hypnosis to soften the inner critic. In a calm, focused state, we work with automatic, self-critical patterns.

  3. Practise “good enough”. You try new ways of setting standards, making decisions and handling mistakes.

  4. Keep what serves you. You keep your drive and your values, and we look at easing the pressure around them.

I can't promise a particular result, because everyone responds differently. What I can offer is a calm, structured space and tools to work with.

What working together
looks like

We start with a free discovery call, where we talk about what's been happening and whether working together feels right. Sessions then take place online by private video call, usually weekly at the start. Where it helps, you'll be invited to practise simple exercises between sessions.

Is hypnotherapy right for perfectionism?

Hypnotherapy works alongside medical care, not instead of it. If perfectionism is affecting your health, such as your eating or sleep, or you feel very low, please speak to your GP.

Online sessions in English and Polish

I work in both English and Polish, so you can talk about what you're feeling in the language that feels most natural. All sessions are online, so you can join from a quiet room at home.

Questions about hypnotherapy for perfectionism

Is perfectionism a bad thing?

Not necessarily. Caring about quality is valuable. Perfectionism becomes difficult when it's driven by fear of failing and comes at the cost of your wellbeing.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working with and what you'd like to change, so there isn't one number that fits everyone. We review progress together as we go, and nothing is rushed.

Will I lose my motivation?

The aim isn't to stop caring. It's to feel less pressure while keeping your drive.

Can hypnotherapy help with perfectionism?

Many people find hypnosis deeply relaxing, and CBH gives you practical tools to work with perfectionist patterns. I can't promise a specific outcome, because everyone responds differently.
