Online Hypnotherapy for Panic Attacks

A panic attack can arrive suddenly and feel overwhelming, and the fear of the next one can start to shape your days. If that's familiar, you're not alone. I offer online sessions in English and Polish, using Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy to support people who experience panic attacks.

What panic attacks can
feel like

Panic attacks feel different for everyone. You might recognise some of these:

  • A sudden surge of intense fear, sometimes with no clear trigger

  • A racing or pounding heart, or a tight chest

  • Breathlessness, dizziness or trembling

  • A feeling of unreality, or of losing control

  • Worrying about when the next one will happen

  • Avoiding places or situations where one might happen

These sensations are very real and can be frightening. Often it's the body's alarm system reacting strongly, and the fear of the next attack keeps the cycle going.

How Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy can support you

Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) combines CBT-based techniques with hypnotherapy. In our sessions, we:

  1. Understand the cycle. We map how a body sensation, a frightening thought and a surge of fear feed each other.

  2. Use hypnosis to relax the body. In a calm, focused state, we practise settling your body's response.

  3. Practise new responses. Gentle exercises help you notice early sensations and respond differently, at a pace that feels safe.

  4. Build your toolkit. You leave with tools for daily life, and we review progress together.

I can't promise a particular result, because everyone responds differently. What I can offer is a calm, structured space and tools to work with.

What working together
looks like

We start with a free discovery call, where we talk about what's been happening and whether working together feels right. Sessions then take place online by private video call, usually weekly at the start. Where it helps, you'll be invited to practise simple exercises between sessions.

Before we begin

Symptoms such as chest pain, a racing heart or breathlessness can have physical causes. If yours haven't been checked, please see your GP first, and seek urgent help if you have chest pain or think you may be having a medical emergency. Hypnotherapy works alongside medical care, not instead of it.

If you're in crisis or worried about your safety, please contact your GP, call NHS 111, or call Samaritans free on 116 123, day or night. In an emergency, call 999.

Online sessions in English and Polish

I work in both English and Polish, so you can talk about what you're feeling in the language that feels most natural. All sessions are online, so you can join from a quiet room at home.

Questions about hypnotherapy for panic attacks

Can hypnotherapy help with panic attacks?

Hypnosis can be deeply relaxing, and CBH adds practical tools for understanding and responding to panic. I can't promise a specific outcome, because everyone responds differently, but the discovery call is a good chance to talk about what you'd like from sessions.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you're working with and what you'd like to change, so there isn't one number that fits everyone. We review progress together as we go, and nothing is rushed.

Do I need to see my GP first?

Yes, I'd encourage it, especially the first time you experience panic symptoms, so physical causes can be ruled out.

Will I have to face the situations
I avoid?

Not before it feels like the right moment. We work at a pace that feels safe, and you stay in control throughout.
